Tropical Feelings nomeia uma trajetória de trabalho em artes visuais, que se iniciou em 2015 com uma pesquisa teórica, gerou uma série de pinturas e evoluiu, depois, para fotografia, manipulação digital e ocupação artística.
O resultado pictórico e morfológico se concretizou nas pinturas em acrílico e pastel oleoso sobre papel, na figura de um “ser mítico”, que expressa de forma não usual algumas contradições: sentimentos de amor e ódio, do desencaixar e do se encaixar, as chuvas, as secas, as águas que vem e vão.
Nas pinturas, no início do processo, o “personagem” figura em um fundo branco, no vazio, na ausência. Aos poucos, ele ganha um cenário e se encaixa. Surge, então, a necessidade da segunda etapa: as ocupações.
Nas ocupações, os Tropical Feelings (Sentimentos Tropicais), em um primeiro momento, invadem “virtualmente” a cidade, onde, via manipulação digital, o “personagem” é introduzido na cena. Em um segundo momento, os personagens são espalhados fisicamente pela cidade.
Os sentimentos tropicais invadem o espaço publico e também o privado. Neste projeto de 2018, foram aplicadas 3 figuras dos Sentimentos Tropicais pela casa, inclusive perto da obra, como se os personagens ganhassem vida e partissem do quadro para habitar a residência.
Este projeto ainda está em andamento e o os sentimentos tropicais estão a buscar novas paisagem.

In the paintings, at the beginning of the process, the “character” figures on a white background, in emptiness, in absence. Little by little, he gains a setting and fits in. Then comes the need for the second stage: the occupations.
In the occupations, Tropical Feelings, at first, “virtually” invade the city, where, via digital manipulation, the “character” is introduced into the scene. In a second moment, the characters are physically scattered throughout the city.
Tropical feelings invade public and private space. In this 2018 project, 3 Tropical Feelings figures were applied throughout the house, including near the work, as if the characters came to life and left the painting to inhabit the residence.
This project is still ongoing and the tropical feelings are seeking new landscapes.
